GRENADA SELECTED TO HOST DIGICEL KICK START CLINIC

 

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – August 22, 2011 Digicel, proud sponsor of football in the Caribbean and Central America, has announced that Grenada will be one of seven markets to host the Digicel Kick Start Clinics 2011, featuring former England and Liverpool legend, John Barnes, as Head Coach.

 

Kicking off on September 18th in Haiti, before moving on to Panama, St. Kitts, and then on the Grenada on October 4th, the Digicel Kick Start Clinics will see over 150 talented young footballers receive expert coaching in the beautiful game. At the end of the Digicel Kick Start Clinics, John Barnes will select 3-4 players in each market to attend the Digicel Kick Start Academy in Trinidad for a 1 week training camp with expert Premier League coaches.

 

 

Commenting on the Digicel Kick Start Clinics Marketing Manager, Kirk Seetahal said; “The Digicel Kick Start Clinics are a fantastic program which searches for the best and brightest footballers and give them the opportunity to train under professional coaches. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we at Digicel are happy to partner with the Grenada Football Association in providing this opportunity for young Grenadians”.

 

A total of 30 young players will be selected for the clinic which will run from October 4th to October 8th 2011. At the end of the clinic the four most outstanding youngsters will be selected for the Academy which will be held in Trinidad from November 1st to 7th, 2011.
