General Manager- Geraldine Pitt
Geraldine joined Digicel in 2003 as Head of Customer Care, moving shortly thereafter to the position of Customer Care Director for the Eastern Caribbean, with additional responsibility for Credit and Collections and Distribution across the region. Under her leadership the Digicel Customer Care team has excelled in providing superior care to the Eastern Caribbean islands.
In 2008, Geraldine was promoted to the role of General Manager of the Southern OECS region, with responsibility for the islands of St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Grenada. Her trademark operational efficiency, people management and her passion for customer care are the key strengths that she brings to this position. Under her leadership Digicel OECS South will continue to provide our customers with innovative products and services and promote the development of our dedicated staff. Geraldine is a Grenadian, based in St. Lucia with her family.
Patricia Maher joined Digicel in June 2000 in the role of Project Executive to the Chief Operating Officer. When she joined the company, Digicel was in startup mode in Jamaica and she was quickly promoted to Regional Manager for Western Jamaica opening the Digicel office in Montego Bay in 2001.
Since 2003 Patricia has been operating in the Eastern Caribbean and held the role of Country Manager for St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Dominica and Grenada. She is currently the Country Manager for Grenada and under her leadership the company is market leader in mobile telecommunications.
She has a wealth of experience in general management having worked with such companies as the Berlitz School of Languages and the LTU Group of companies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Manchester.
Patricia is based in St. George’s, Grenada.
As CFO for Digicel Eastern Caribbean (St.Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, Dominica, St.Kitts, Antigua, Anguilla, BVI and Barbados), Holly Hughes, who holds management responsibilities for the company’s finance across this region is proud to be the first Caribbean national in this position. Prior to joining Digicel as CFO in July 2009, Holly served as CEO/CFO with The Karib Cable Group prior to training in Audit and Assurance services with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Pannell Kerr Forster in St. Vincent.
Holly holds a first class honours degree in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. She then qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified
As Human Resources Manager for the OECS, Joylyn Lewis-DeFreitas leads the Human Resources function, for Digicel reporting the Human Resources Director Eastern Caribbean. She and her team ensure that Digicel recruits the best available talent, develops progressive people strategies and creates the best work environments to drive strong business results.
Joylyn has responsibility for all human resources activities, including Organization Effectiveness, Succession Planning, Learning & Development; Recruitment, Performance Management, Reward & Recognition, Employee Communications & Engagement, HR Information Systems, and HR service delivery to Digicel’s workforce within the OECS.
Joylyn joined Digicel in December 2002 as Human Resources Assistant and over the years has transitioned upward to Regional HR Manager in June 2009. Her ambition in the role is to make a difference “not just with the organization but more importantly with people.” She has enjoyed watching the many young people that Digicel employs grow and develop and said “even if they left the company the impact of this fast paced organization has awarded them the ability to handle any challenge and ultimately make them better citizens of society.
Based in St. Lucia as Head of Commercial - OECS responsible for St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines and Grenada, Simone reports directly to Geraldine Pitt. Simone joined Digicel Trinidad in May 2005 and as an active member of the Trinidad’s marketing team, she quickly progressed through the ranks from Marketing Administrator to Marketing Manager.
In January 2009, she moved over to our operation in the Cayman Islands as the Senior Marketing Manager with responsibilities that focused both on the company’s Marketing and Commercial activities. With this new regional role in the Southern OECS, Simone works closely with the country managers and marketing managers.
